Walter, thank you for your reply at Railroad Claims Consulting LLC. I am not an attorney and don't claim to be. I have investigated over 500 car/train accidents, hundreds of railroad employee injuries and have handled tens of thousands of claims for railroad freight damage and assisted on over 240 damage lawsuits. I am a consultant who works with lawyers. I know how the railroads deal with claimants and know how to hold railroads liable for the damage they cause. Lawyers need experts in the fields involved in their cases. I am an expert.

As for your comment about attorneys having degrees....Abe Lincoln had no degree. All one needs to do is pass the bar to become a lawyer. Nearly all lawyers today have a degree. If you remember the young thief who's real life story is depicted in "Catch Me If You Can" passed the bar and he claimed to have studied only a couple weeks....remarkable.

I hired a great guy in Dallas to set up my website. I had taken the photo of the steam engine wheels and he made the most of it.

Interesting story. I was never sure Casey Jones was a real person or imaginary. Glad to learn more. Your implications about Superintendents and Trainmasters is certainly correct. They often were the companies buffer to present the right spin on events whatever they were. The truth usually resided somewhere in the middle of a variety of conflicting reports, each based on CYA methodology.
